How Proply handles the personal information you share through this website.
On this page
The short version
- Proply decides how your information is used. The website runs on prop.forsale, which processes it only for Proply.
- You share your details only when you send an enquiry, subscribe or join a deal room.
- Marketing needs a separate tick, and every newsletter has a one-click unsubscribe.
- To see, correct or delete your information, contact Proply at hello@test01.example.com.
This summary helps you find your way. The full text below is what applies.
1. Responsible party
Proply is the responsible party (the "controller") for the personal information collected on this website and in its deal rooms. You can contact Proply at hello@test01.example.com.
This website runs on prop.forsale, which acts as Proply's operator (its "processor"): it stores and processes the information on Proply's behalf and may not use it for its own purposes. The platform's own policy is at https://pfs-stage.dev/privacy.
2. What is collected and why
- Enquiries and brochure requests: your name, email, optional phone number and message, so that an agent can answer you. You tick a box to consent before sending.
- Marketing: only if you tick the separate marketing box, so that the agency may send you related property news. You can withdraw at any time.
- Newsletter: your email and optional name, confirmed by a link we email you (double opt-in). Every newsletter has a one-click unsubscribe link.
- Deal rooms: if an agent invites you to a deal (as buyer, seller, attorney, originator or another party), your contact details, messages and the documents shared there, which can include identity and proof-of-funds documents the agent needs for legal checks.
- Consent evidence: the date, the wording you agreed to and a one-way hash of your IP address. The raw IP address is not stored with it.
4. How long it is kept
Enquiries are kept for as long as needed to deal with your request and any resulting transaction. Deal documents are kept for at least five years to meet record-keeping law. Newsletter records are kept until you unsubscribe; after that you are never emailed again unless you sign up and confirm again.
5. Your rights
Contact Proply at hello@test01.example.com to ask for a copy of your information, to correct or delete it, or to object to marketing.
- Access: ask whether we hold personal information about you and get a copy (POPIA section 23, GDPR article 15).
- Correction and deletion: ask us to correct information that is wrong or incomplete, or delete information we no longer need or hold unlawfully (POPIA section 24, GDPR articles 16 and 17).
- Objection and restriction: object to processing based on legitimate interests, ask us to restrict processing, and stop direct marketing at any time.
- Portability: where we process on the basis of consent or contract, ask for your information in a common machine-readable format.
- Withdraw consent at any time, without affecting processing that took place before you withdrew it.
- Complain to a regulator: in South Africa the Information Regulator (https://inforegulator.org.za); in the EU your local data protection authority; in the UK the Information Commissioner’s Office (https://ico.org.uk).
