Accessibility statement
We want everyone to be able to find, list and buy property on prop.forsale, whatever device or assistive technology they use.
On this page
1. Our target
We design to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. That covers the prop.forsale property portal, every agency website we host, sign-in, the agency admin and deal rooms.
2. How we check
- Automated accessibility checks (axe) run in our test suite on public pages, listing pages, the admin, deal rooms and these legal pages; serious and critical findings block a release.
- Pages work with a keyboard alone, have a skip link, visible focus, labelled form fields and text alternatives for images agencies upload when they provide one.
- We respect reduced-motion settings and keep text resizable to 200% without loss of content.
3. Known limitations
We have not yet had an independent audit, so we do not claim full conformance. Areas we know need work:
- Listing photos and documents uploaded by agencies may lack descriptions; we prompt agents to add them.
- Some agency website templates use brand colours chosen by the agency; we check contrast but an agency can override it.
- Documents uploaded to deal rooms (for example scanned PDFs) may not be accessible; ask the agent for another format.
4. Tell us about a problem
If something is hard to use, email privacy@pfs-stage.dev with the page address and what went wrong. We aim to reply within five working days and will offer the information in another format if we cannot fix the page quickly.
